Lower Speakers for Passenger

I was wondering if anyone has added the lowers with speakers and how much of an improvement there is for the passenger? With only the fairing speakers (J&M), my wife has a hard time hearing them unless they are blasting and starting to distort. I hate to add speakers in the lids and lose the storage.

I have 6.5” speakers (Kicker) in front upper and lowers, powered by an amp. It makes a huge difference. In my opinion all audio at highway speeds should be amped, but I like it loud. Also this forum and other articles made me realize the need for proper distortion free tuning.

Right now I have the JM Rokker 2 channel. Looking to upgrade to the 4 channel, but didn't want to lose the bag storage with the lid speakers.
So you have a happy passenger? They noticed a difference?

Yes the lowers make a big difference. and she should hear that better. Picked up a king tour pak from a brother and put 2 6.5 in the speaker pods and that helps even more.
