I watched what felt like a freakin 2 hours youtube video on a frame/seat combo for lowering the rider seated position some 3 freakin inches.....holy crap!!!!!......WWWAAAYYYY too involved for me. I can just imaging the cost.

Then found this?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKvdXSjPwm4

lookin for your input and opinions. Safety 1st of course.....
thanks/g

I have installed a few different 1" lowering blocks. They ride pretty good. 2" blocks will rub on large bumps.

Thaks, ya...and I wonder.....will 1" be enough...maybe if I get my seat shaved .....seems like plenty of padding that could withstand a good shaving to lower me a bit more in the seat....

It also affects your handling. Buddy of mine had it done, but he likes it.

I suggest a Danny grey buttcrack solo. They sit you very low. Have 1 on all 3 bikes. You can also buy a passenger pillion if you ride 2-up

I put air ride on now you have the best on e-bay for $500.00 nice sys 5" of travel with handle bar
switch...

I'm also lookin to lower mine. I bought the lowering bracket for the rear shocks. Loved the way it looked and seat hight but bumps were rough. Lowering Shock Advice. Don't want to spend a arm and a leg and don't care if they are not air shocks.

Hey guys, lowered mine using the Burly Street Slammer kit, 2" drop in springs up front and 10.5" shocks in the rear. Great kit!

From everything I have read about lowering, people are saying start with the seat and then do the bike after. I've heard great things about Mean City Cycles seat mods. You tell them your size. inseam, and weight and I have heard they can do wonders to your seat. They get great reviews. Then I would look at the bike to see how much lower I would need to go. The lower you go on the shocks, the more it can affect the ride (crappier ride). for the most part. So that is why I would start with my seat.
