Lowside crash

Looks like his counter steer got a little relaxed, He was drifting off the road before the crash looked like his lane was running out fast, Kudos to him Bailing off . That was a Epic dismount, Nice Bike.. These cruisers are top heavy the weight pushes you trough the corners. I went from a low rider to a Street glide night and day in handling. Killer video capture.

He was leaning away from the turn instead of into it.

Exactly, look at his arms. Left arm is straight, right arm is bent. He is leaning right while turning left.

The street glide has a clearance limit you can't exceed around 35 degrees of lean. Move your body to the inside of the turn and the bike will be more upright and maintain ground clearance.

In low speed cornering, minimum turn radius is achieved by leaning the bike over as much as possible. In this case the rider does stay upright to increase lean angle:

He exceeded his abilities. Be it speed, lean, road bank, etc - he went in too hot for his skill level.

Also noticed in slow motion he started going wide on the road and rolled off throttle to try and slow down (rear tire slowed down and lost traction). On top of the extreme angle and lean.... all contributing factors.

Several good responses, it is a combination of all, Improper Lean Angle, Improper braking point, Improper Throttle response, Improper entrance. All lead to him dragging the floorboard mounting arm removing weight from the rear tire.

I ride my SG very hard and put away my fair share of crotch rockets. The bike has limits besides speed and you have to learn them and lean angle is a big one. Get off the bike, stand it up and turn it in! It will go. Feel hard parts, don't do it again lol. It actually handles very well and has great torque out of the turns!
