Hey all!.

I just purchased my 2007 Street Glide(cobalt blue) from a dealer here in Lathrop, Ca about a month ago. I am a new rider, and have been having a blast on my SG.

There are a few things I do have questions about, excuse my noob'ish questions :)

1) On the freeway It seems the fairing catches so much wind and causes the bike to move around a bit. Is this what everyone else with a SG experiences? Or is it me just being nervous still.
2) I also experience numbness in my hands. I don't notice this when riding in the city, but only on the freeway. I can't seem to go longer then 25 minutes on the freeway before I have to stop. Is there a way to remedy this?

Thanks
Erik

First a huge welcome from Bama. When you get a chance post some pictures of your scoot up!

To your first question, I put in over 1000 miles the first month I got her, mainly interstate riding and the wind was not a problem. I think you just need to get use to her is all.
Second try new bars, I say prolly some taller ones would help with numbness!

Hey welcome to the forums. I grew up in California, my Dad was stationed at Mather AFB and later at Travis AFB until he retired and we moved south. Enjoy your new scoot, there is a lot of nice ridin in them there foothills.

Welcome Erik..

PB is spot on about both points..I put some Wild One Chubbies on my '11 and it's a ton better on my wrists. Don't know how tall you are but new bars are a big help.

Sneak. Checking up on this. Ha e you done anything with bars at all??
Any pics for us Where are you located. I am in Stockton.

Welcome from Norcal. Loosen up your grip a little and after you've been riding awhile the numbness should go away. As far as comfort I prefer bars at shoulder level.
Cheers!
