Good afternoon everyone,
I am on the market for a street glide, currently ride a sporty, and have been looking around. I found one that I absolutely love. It is a 2014 and has everything I want, apes, v&h exhaust, a/c, stage one mapped, matte black, all for around 15k. Why so cheap I thought, well it has 50k miles. So my question is how many miles can one expect to put on a street glide? If properly maintained, how many more do you think it would be good for?

Thanks for you time

Miklo

50K on a 2014 makes me wonder if the maintenance was done every 5k or not. Seems the person rode the crap out of it. But, I cannot advise you on this one. Mine only has 11900 on it.

I am assuming since you are in Cali they are mostly highway miles. It is high miles but probably has many more to go.

First welcome to the fun. Sounds like they rode the crap out of it but depending on how you look at it. Kind of jealous as I only have 19,500 on mine. I would do a little more shopping before you buy as we have a member trying here to sell his 14 with everything you listed but only about 20,000 miles. Look up Spazz in the for sale section the bike he is selling is really sweet.

I agree with TomA, THis time of year there are plenty of near new bikes for sale and with much lower mileage.

Also . . . . WELCOME!

I think you should be able to find a low mile 14 SG for 17.5 - 18 and an SGS for around 20K.....this is more $$ but if it has 10K you got a lot of miles to go for only a few thousand $$....something to think about. :D

Another avenue to be vigilant of is the used dealer rental bikes. These are lower mileage late model bikes that dealers have used as rental and demo units. They have been maintained according to schedule and in most cases have a full warranty. Prices are usually friendly as dealers want to move these to get more current models in the line up

Thank you all for the warm welcome and prompt responses, and Spazz, that is certainly a beautiful bike!!!

Welcome, and...

Never met Spazz in person but I'd also say he's a stand up guy from everything I've seen here.

You can follow the progression of this For Sale bike right here on SGF. Spazz kept us informed with pics and videos that not only assisted him but helped countless others as they customized their scoots. Not only have I met Spazz but we have ridden on both sides of the country together. Most recently last week in the Smokies on the Tail of the Dragon in TN/NC. This fellow soldier is a retired Marine and his integrity is immense. If I was in the market I’d seriously look at this bike because I know its been taken care of.

I got a buddy, former Marine, who's thinking of buying a bike and liked mine so much he went out and rented one. Now he's thinking of buying one. I told him about Spazz's and as soon as he gets back from vacation, he's going to talk to the wife about it....just saying...don't think too long about it or it may be gone.

I appreciate that Aviator... THANK YOU!
