New SG ownet..FP3 causing backfire and sputtering

Just picked up 2015 SG...previous owner installed Rinehart extreme true duels with performance baffles..
It is running horrible...I call VH they suggested map..it didn't help..sputtering around 2500 rpm...and backfires at any given time...

I had planned to tune it but after talking to VH they recommended map and suggested no auto tune should be necessary

Why do you think it's the tuner? Set it bak to the "stock" map.... See if it still runs bad?

Check your 02 sensors and make sure the black one is on the back cylinder.

OK I don't have manual yet..where does O2 sensor plug into head

The 02 Sensors are under the right panel you have to remove the right saddle bag and it is there. Black is back and gray is front. Follow the cables.

I will add a bit to this from my personal experience... On my ol 14SGS... I ran the Pro Pipe with standard baffle... ran perfect after AT.

I then wanted to try the COMP BAFFLE... $95 later I installed it and ... long story short... lost my low end torque and could NOT rid the scoot of decel pop and slight hesitation. I went back to the standard baffle and all that was lost was now back again.

It is my opinion.... ( based on my experience ) that comp or performance baffles that 'open up' the flow will reduce overall performance on a stock motor and cause slight issues like you describe.

Sorry for delay getting back on this..It ended up being O2 sensor were installed backwards by previous owner..
No wonder I got such a great deal..lol
It now runs like a champion
I will put a few tanks through her and then try auto tune unless someone can convince me the auto tune won't help..
All advice welcome and thanks for this easy fix
