Hello everyone. Recently my wife gave me the green light to trade in my Yamaha for a SG. I've decided to wait a couple months for the '17s to arrive. Rumor has it the SGS will be available in Crushed Ice Pearl, and I've also heard that the 17s may come with the 110 engine. Be that as it may, I look forward to learning as much as I can in the interim. Cheers.

Welcome to the fun here. Take your time and get what you want for a bike and don't settle. Not sure what the 17's will bring but sitting back and waiting.

Just because that light can change back to red real fast, lol. When I got the green light with in 3 days I had my new bike in my garage.

Start by going to all the dealers near you and drool on their bikes. Get to know some of the salesmen and ask questions. This can be alot of fun. Ask each dealer how much they charge for the 1K and 5K service. Ask prices and take notes. They will see you as a serious buyer and may offer some incentives to buy from them. After you make the deal, get them to throw in some stuff. I got streamline shifter pegs, streamline highway pegs, and Rush slipons after the price was settled. Have fun and early congratulations.

Be sure to visit several dealers and take note of the sales right before the new models come out. Take a picture of the sales tags. I did research for about 2 years before I bought mine and the picture came in very handy when making a deal, because I got the previous years sales price on the new model, obviously not right when they came out. I paid 21,999 for my 16 SGS cosmic blue (custom color option). I also waited to sell my previous bike (09 super glide custom) instead of trading it in, which got 2500 more than trade in.

I love the street glide, very good choice. Have fun
