I'd like to pick up a set of split vision mirrors for my SGS. Should I get the fairing ones replaced or go with the handle bar mounted type? Next question where can I get them without pledging my gold filling in my teeth and my first born male child?

In my opinion, it ultimately depends on if you will be sticking with the stock bars or going with a taller bar. If sticking with the stock bars (or stock bar height) I would stick with the fairing mounted mirrors but if you go with a taller, ape-style bar you'll most likely want mirrors on the bars since you may not be able to even see the mirrors with your hands higher...

On my 14 SG I like the fairing mounted with stock bars. On my 06 SG the fairing mounted ones were horrible the left one especially. They must have tweeked em a bit!

Well the point is mute now. I went to the dealership this past weekend and they don't make the fairing ones for the 14 SG and the 13's won't fit due to the new fairing I had decided to go with the fairing ones but now I'll have to wait.
