How do you do it? We finally got a decent ride going today. 10 riders all friends and I was the caboose today. We crossed a few tracks today and seen everybody slow down and cross straight across. Me myself like to aim for center and cross slightly diagonally. I believe it is the levelest part of the track. We have some crappy tracks here. So my question is, how do you cross?

I'm with you. For the most part, it does seem like the smoothest way to traverse a track.

When I was a MSF instructor we taught straight across. Personally, I say do it however it's safest for you considering the situation.

Yep pick the middle between the tire traveled part of the road...and straight or 90 degrees or if you prefer perpendicular to the track. Might be a bump but less chance of slipping out sideways .

I like to get on the throttle and dump the clutch and ride a wheelie across just like a log in the woods.
My passenger does not really love this method.

And my beer just shot out my nose. Thanks for the laugh. I really needed that today.
