I wear a half helmet and use the foam backed glasses to protect my eyes while riding. When it rains the glasses are nearly impossible to see out of making it quite exciting to ride!
Other than a full faced helmet or a modular helmet does anybody use a set of goggles or glasses that work well in the rain? Maybe with wipers ;)

I run with Crews Reapers without the foam sealers... no fogging

I use a Bell half helmet with a pull down sun shield. I wear sun glasses all the time but when the rain hits I pull down the shield, it works great.

I wear a half helmet. I bought a good pair of Maui Jims and they work perfect. When your glasses dry they don't have water spots.

Rain-x, rain-x, rain-x. I use the foam padded glasses as well. Rain-x helps plenty.

I have a half helmet with a shield plus a modular helmet for winter riding but I wear a pair of Oakley's with their water repellant solution (like rain-x) on them, so the water just beads off.

I have always worn a brain bucket....and relied on sunglasses of different sizes and styles, foamed or not, goggles, and even full face shield. My opinion is rain sucks. Depending on the rain volume, the traffic splash back, fog, whatever, rain sucks. I like RainX but rain sucks. The older I get.....let's not go there......I like goggles. My baggy eyelids and sexy long eye lashes demand more coverage....but rain sucks.

Exactly!

Thanks for the input! Good to know rain sucks everywhere!
I will try rainx and bigger goggles. If all else fails I'll get the
Half helmet with the pull down shield

I also wear the Crews Shades, I usually run the foam seal in mine due to Contact Lenses. Half helmet for nice weather 3/4 for long trips and possible rain showers.

I live in the Great North Wet I mean West.
Nothing works great in the wet. The best I've found is a 3/4 helmet with a shield. I leave the shield up most of the time, when it rains lower it and keep on Rollin'

It never rains in Southern California....I'm not worried 'bout a thing
not even stormy weather...
Oh it may be cold on the east coast
but on the other side of town it never rains...

But...when it does...I stay home.

X2 for the helmet with a pull down visor. Works great.

Went out today for a ride in the rain, spent about 1.5 hours out in it. Around town and on the highway. Everything from light sprinkles to a pretty good down pour. I wanted to test my gear. HD rain suite worked good, HD waterproof Andy boots also kept me dry. Shoei J Cruise also worked out better than expected. The face shield didnt fog up a bit thanks to the pin lock shield insert. No rain rolling down my neck. The gloves I had failed miserably. The good news is I didn't buy them for that purpose. They were an older pair of neoprene shooting gloves I had.
Any recommendation for a good pair of waterproof riding glove?
Oh and yes Bones....Rain SUCKS ! ! !

Do a Google search for "Olympia Gortex Motorcycle Gloves"
I got turned onto Olympia a few years ago as I ride year round (Lancaster,Pa) and we get all the weather. Really good cold/wet weather riding gloves. Very flexible fingers in and out of the grips and levers. Great prices too!
