Just Installed Rush header pipes part number:7017HO on my 2015 SG. The heat shield scrapped in a turn. The floor pans never hit. Has anyone else installed these and experience any issues like this?

Joker has a 14 SG (not special) and drags his factory heat shields now... worn the floorboard mount enuf to let them touch.. scary

I have the Rush True Duals and have never scraped yet. of course I may not lean into turns as aggressively as you.

I don't have trhe Rush Header pipes but do have a full size x-over pipe with the stock heat shield and yes it does scrape. You can loosen the clamps and twist it as far as you can around to the top then tighten the clamps back as tight as you can. Then I used a rubber hammer to LIGHTLY tap it back into shape as it doesn't line up real well. But if you scrapping floorboards it's hitting first.

Most any header pipe that does not tuck in the lower pipe like the the factory header pipe is going to scrape the road before the floorboards in turns. I have raised up the rear of my bike with 13" shocks vs the factory 12" shocks (13" is the standard height for the FL frame we have, StreetGlides come from the factory lowered 1"). I drag the floorboards before anything else (stock header pipe). I have the Harley D shaped extended reach boards which are a forward and slightly higher off the road than stock and no wider. At the point I touch, I'm usually going a little over twice what a corner speed sign says.

In High School our formula for navigating corners was; Double the posted corner speed limit then subtract 10 which at that time seemed Freaky Fast Fun on the old equipment. Bikes now incorporate advanced frame, tire, and suspension modification and improvement resulting in the expansion of Freaky Fast Fun envelope qualifications for those of us that love an all day smile.

I don't think you have this on your bike. Looks like a wish list copied out of some magazine. LMAO.
