Satin black or gloss black?

I have a 2016 Street glide charcoal satin. And I'm starting to tear the bike down tonight. To get all my chrome to the powder coater. I talked with them today, and he said the satin black would hold up better. Than the gloss black, cause the gloss black would show scratches in it.

What's your guys suggestions? At first I was dead set on gloss block, but after talking with them today, I'm undecided.

I like the satin look, my preference though. Think they are right about any little scratch or swirl showing up on gloss.

I also have the charcoal denim, its a tough call, the gloss is a good offset, yet the matte looks so good as well.

The tough part, is if you wanna add any harley black parts they are gloss, and it seems that most black aftermarket parts now have some kind of contrast cut.

I have the charcoal pearl and I went with gloss on most. And satin on the exhaust shield.

Go satin. I have a few gloss black things on my SG and you can see the fine rag marks from when I clean it. Bout the only draw back to gloss black.

Well I went with gloss black, since my rear turn signal and license plate from Harley was gloss black. Plus I got the gloss black lower rocker cover and top rocker cover is the burst cover coming from Harley. The coater said I'll have them back by Thursday. And I have my buddy working on color matching my paint on the tour pack I bought off his brothers 2015 ultra.

Now I need to start saving and collecting the parts for the front end. Going to install the Legend Aexo front suspension, with blacked out lowers, PM 21" Heathen contrast cut, 12" Yaffe's, lighted hand controls, flush mount led turn signals, and some other odds and ends.

And for the winter going to do viper bags, sinister fender, speaker lids, side covers, dash cover, all from The factory match.
