What is everyone's opinion on choosing a service manual. Original H-D manual or is the Clymer basically the same thing

I bought a '13 HD touring service manual. Regular price of about $60. I bought it during a special my dealer had of 25% off. So, $45. That being said, the HD has tremendous color electrical schematics. I do not have experience with Clymer bike manuals, just autos. Try and get a look at both I guess. You can download a digital copy for about $8 on Ebay I think. I prefer to have in hand, the original HD bible.

Looks like it's about $13 bucks or so now.

Does anyone know if there is a 2014 SGS service manual on line or CD available??

As far as I know... they are paperback only.... I have the Electrical Service Manual right now.... $60 I still need the Mechanical Service Manual. I bought the Electrical one first as I needed it for some initial mods and add-ons for detailed diagrams of certain components.

You can't go wrong with HD.... VERY detailed in every aspect

I bought both service manuals and parts book for '14 touring from Kutter for $135 shipped. Worth every penny!

I finally got the Service Manual about 3 months ago.... I have BOTH now...

Having both Electrical and Service Manuals is an EXCELLENT idea for those of us that LOVE to tinker and MUST KNOW how everything works and how to work on it with specific values for service and for electrical diagnostics.

For those that want to do their own maintenance and service... the Service Manual is a must have item.

I have the service manual and the wiring manual from Manchester HD. Indeed a must have. Really everything is explained how to do it and what torque to use when reassembling.
