One of my mirrors is lose, how do you get to the back of the mirrors under the fairing?
thanks

Take the outer fairing off.

Cover the fender with a blanket.

Take out the 4 screws on the inner fairing, loosen the center screw on the windshield, ( dont remove). Take out the two outer screws. Remove the windshield.

The center bolt can come out now, its used to support the fairing. Hold the fairing as you take out the last screw.

When your ready lift up slightly and pull it away from the bike. You then can disconnect the headlight.

If it's loose already there maybe a problem with it. Take it back to the dealership and have them fix it and if there is a problem with the mirror they will replace it under warranty.

Just my 2 cents

Be careful.... the studs that hold the mirrors onto the inner fairing are PLASTIC AND HOLLOW with a 9/16" nut holding them in place. Too much torque and you will snap them off... Don't ask how I know this... LOL!

Spazz,

How many things are we not supposed to ask you how you know about them? lol. You seem to have a lot of experiences to share, or not share.

flhrci- Spazz has a unique disorder; It's in his DNA to completely take apart anything he owns and re assemble it twice. The second time blindfolded !

I could leave my sled alone.... and let everyone else break junk and cuss up a storm.. even think of new words... but I would rather be helpful and break my junk first to help others avoid the headaches....

You're a "Giver" Spazz ROTFLMAO

Spazz,

Your sacrifice is greatly appreciated. I learned a lot on my last RKC by doing things to it also. Trying to leave the SG alone. Near perfection already. Only needs small changes and a a major Boom Box upgrade that we all need.
