I know the stock shocks need to be filled every now and then just like anything that has air in it..but, how often should they lose air? How much air? What should be the setting for a good ride with 1up, 2up, etc.?
I checked mine the other day because I felt like I was bottoming out with my son on the back. Sure enough- 0psi air pressure in there???! I have only had the bike for a month and the dealer checked it when I bought it. Should it disappear that fast?
I tried pumping with a small portable bike pump...didn't register a change at all. So, I used my floor type bicycle pump. One stroke of the pump and it felt major resistance. Checked with tire gage and it was over 40psi.??!
Seems odd to me. What are your thoughts?

Hello

Have never had this system on my bike but I have a lot of friends that do. Harley sells a special pump for this and I think my buddy with the ultra runs 40 PSI and my buddy with the street glide runs about 20 to 25 1 up and 40 when riding2 up. They tell me that if you use air compressor it will blow the system apart. Buddy bought a new street glide couple year ago and after 4000 miles he said it was bottoming out stopped at dealer pressure was at 0 and they pumped it up for him. Month or so later they were fixing a leak it had somewhere. Good luck I'm sure someone else with more experience will chime in soon.
