Time for a big trip!

This Thursday, early morning, I will embark on a 2100-mile round trip to Medora, ND and back. At Medora, after 1050 miles in 2 days, I will dismount the SG and take a 40 mile, 3 day backpacking trip in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I'm really looking forward to this park; there are buffalo, bighorn sheep and wild horse herds, petrified trees, and should be some spectacular scenery. Then, it's back on my SG for the return trip to northern IL. I'm realllllly stoked for this one; it'll be my first big moto trip

Just a few pics. It was a 2000-mile round trip ride, and three nights in the backcountry with 35 miles of backpacking. What an amazing trip it was!

Sounds like an awesome opportunity. I am sticking close to home until my two sons are older and then we can all ride! Until then you guys enjoy the adventure and one day we will be there along with you guys! I have wonderful memories of my family riding together when I was a teenager and want to share this with my sons someday as well. Be safe!

I got a big trip coming in Sept with one of my good friends. Maggie Valley NC, Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Pkwy (a Favorite) and Foothills parkway in the Smokies. We'll be staying in a cabin on a creek and chillin out!
