Alright guys I need help. I'm new to Harleys and I just bought a 2006 flhxi, the guy did some modifications to the bike but I really have no idea what, the air cleaner cover is aftermarket I believe but no idea if it has a aftermarket filter, the exhaust is aftermarket also I believe but no idea. So how can I find out what all is done to my bike if I cannot get ahold of the seller. I'm looking to buy a power commander because the bike runs a little rich and sometimes sputters when I first turn the bike upon (after warmup) throttle movement, it even shut the engine off once. But I'm just trying to figure out how I can see what's on the bike before purchasing a pcv. Thanks in advance. Here's some pics in case you guys need to see it. IMG_1683.jpg

Try to find a local DYNO guy. Have him look at your bike and tell you what needs to be done. Or a local harley mechanic you trust. Doesn't need to be dealer.

Looks like a HD air cover on the intake and your exhaust is definitely aftermarket, I gonna go with it possibly being a Bassani exhaust system as that rear U shaped exhaust on the rear jug is unique. If that's the case look and see if it has the catalytic converter on it. If its running rich and sputtering it sounds like the exhaust was added and not tuned. You really need to get that bike to a dealership or other trusted mechanic
