I have the 2014 SGS in Mysterious red but in 15 you could only get the standard in the red. Now the red for 16 has changed to velocity red. I have too many miles on mine and upgrades so I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon sorry.

If I understand correctly the 2014 SGS has the following that the regular SG does not:
pin strip
premium adjustable shock
security system
ABS brakes
6.5 touch screen
Am I missing anything? I realize ABS and security were options on the standard SG. I've heard some don't like the harsh ride of the premium shocks- especially lighter weight riders. Thoughts?

Yes that's pretty much it with a couple other little things n there. Can I ask why you are looking for this particular colored bike ??? The dealership I bought mine from tried to buy mine back a couple of times as some guy in California wanted this color bike also and was willing to pay for it.
My 14 special is mysterious red. Bought with 800 miles on it. Happy hunting! Hope you find what you want, I'm sure happy with mine. I preferred the amber Whiskey of my Switchback, but I get a lot of compliments on the mysterious red and really I was just wanting anything that wasn't black or pink.
As far as the shocks go, I haven't experienced good shocks to say it's bad or not. It does feel better than my fld did. I weigh 150 and keep it at the lowest. I've seen a lot of complaints on other forums about the air shocks losing pressure which just added to my reasons to get a special.
