You may want to consider getting a 13" set from an ElectraGlide. The 12" shocks from the StreetGlide have only 2" of travel.

I have 13" air shocks off 2015 bagger and my bike rides like its on a magic carpet compared to the stock 12" air shocks. Wether using coil over or air the 13" is a huge improvement in ride quality.
If you decide to try the air shocks they are usually around $100 on eBay. I changed the shock oil from 5 wt. to 7.5 wt. Amsoil. 12 ounces in the ache shock. Easy to do and only takes a few minutes with a cheap plastic condiment squeeze bottle. I also installed chrome tank valves (Ace Hardware) on each shock. If one should blow out there is still a good shock to limp me home. Bike sits 3/4" higher but not noticeable. I run 30lbs air in each.
I figured for a total investment of about $120 I'd give it a go and the setup works very well for me.

I'm running 13" premium adjustables, sold my 12" shocks. The 13" shocks and Harley Hammock seat saves my spine those sharp hits.

+1

I'm running the stock shocks on my FLHXS properly adjusted to my weight. I also have the Harley Hammock seat and it not only cushions you from the road but it saves your butt on long trips. I can easily do 8 hours rides and don't even feel it.

Thanks guys for the info. I was actually looking at these for my riding buddy. He just bought a 2014 RK standard with 13" air shocks. ( I tried to pull him to the dark side but the force was to strong.) He likes the old school look and wasn't sure about the extra weight of the fork mounted fairing. Anyways he's a shorter rider and needs to get down a little. I thought the 12's would be a start followed up by some seat work. But honestly you got me thinking maybe I should change mine out for 13's. The stock ones are working for me I guess, 2 -3 clicks in seems to be where the overall ride is the best but maybe I'm missing something the 13's could provide. Heck I could probably switch his for mine but the question is if I decide to change do you go with air or progressive.
This bikes pretty much got me conditioned to spend money and it's probably been 36 hours since I've bought something for her. What do you think?

Why don't you swap bikes with your buddy (you on the RK w 13" air shocks and him on your lowered bike. You might get an idea of how you like the air shocks. Maybe you could even swap shocks for a few days then you would know for sure
The 13" stock air shocks were cheap and as I understand Prrogressive 944 and Oglins will give you a great and improved ride but UFFDA! Lots of money for those bad boys.

Blues, I think that's a good idea, probably switch shocks and test them out. I haven't changed shocks before but shouldn't be to much trouble. Get the rear wheel off the ground and then RR. Is that about it?

Farmboy, scissors Jack under the frame. Won't even have to get the wheel off the ground just get the shock extended. On the air shocks make sure to let all the air out first. Don't tip them or the fluid will run out. Grab a pair of tank valves (1/8" npt I think) from Ace Hardware and screw into the air shocks with Teflon tape which will prevent the fluid from running out. Take both shocks off and install the new shocks by raising or lowering the scissors Jack to match mounting holes. About 20 minutes if you take your time.

Blues, Thanks for the walk through. Sounds pretty straight forward. I'll buy you a beer if I'm up that way.
