I have always loved Jl speakers in all my cars/trucks and I have a 2010 street glide that I am upgrading the sound system. My question is what are some good models of Jl speakers people use or have used to help me narrow down my search. Any help is appreciated!!!

Hertz or Focals... I'm going Focal 165KRC's, 570ac's in the lids and Arc XDI 600.4... that is my plan right now

Spazz are those Focal 165KRC's is that their top of the line ones? I went to a store and was quoted $1100.00 for a set of there top ones. But i couldnt remember the # of them. And they showed me a picture they had did a install and put the tweeters in the fairing where the dead spot and the little door is & looked bad ass. THey was telling me the JL600/4 can handle 6 speakers and it runs cooler.. @6ohms. I dont know jack about it just saying. Goin to spin 2K+ I want to do it right the first time.

No... these are 1 step down @ $799

The top end one are component separates for around $999 at the best price I found

I wounder how you would install a amp in your bags? Maybe go that route. And have one in the fariing as well.

The 165KRC is the top of the line for their coaxial speakers. I would have a hard time drilling holes in the inner fairing for tweeters. I love my 165KRC. How many speakers do you want to run?

Right now I just want fairing speakers. So I'm thinking a 2 channel amp. One channel for the 6.5 speakers & one channel to the tweeters for now, maybe a 350watt. Either put the tweeters where the mirrors were or drill and put in the inner fairing. Maybe down the road install amp in bags for 6.9 speakers. They tell me that the Hertz speakers are power hungry but again Focal or Hertz speakers

For what your wanting that would need either a 4 channel amp or an amp that is 2 ohm stable. In my opinion you wouldn't gain that much using separates, that is why I went with coaxial speakers.
