What is the top speed of your SG or RG; if you've had the opportunity to check it via the dyno or GPS? Mine was 126.3 in 5th gear and 150.1 in 6th gear on the dyno. I never would have thought that these motors were capable of producing those kind of numbers, but it sure is nice to know. Please let us know what mods you had when you checked your top speed. Mine are in my sig. Thanks

6000 RPM in 6th gear is just over 150 mph. That's what you'll get if you have the power to pull it.
 
Well in the stock bike, age over 60, trying to abide by the law class, I did push to 100 for fun. The bike has more but I've not been there.
Even on faster bikes it was more about acceleration than top speed for me.

Yep and I have the rev limiter set at 6208. I will never run mine that fast on the street, but it was pretty cool to turn that kind of mph on the dyno. I figured the mph would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 128-130 tops.

What did you set your rev limiter at in your new motor?
 
Mines at 6200. I will shift around 5500 - 6000 if I need max acceleration.

Push for 100, I feel like the bike loves to be around that speed. Doesn't feel like it's pushing at all. I got to 110 but I haven't found a good opportunity to really push her to see how fast the M8 will go.

Been up above 130mph and let off... plenty left too... GPS Speedo S tocker was way pegged.. 6200 rev limiter here as well

What would you run the Rev limiter at on a 2014 stock 103 with VH true duels big air cleaner and VH slip-ons. with the FP3.
So far there is no motor work done YET.

6000-6200.... shift points around 5500
 
I've been to 115 with my stock M8with slip ons. No need for that in my opinion. If I wanted faster, I wouldn't be on a harley. I just like getting there.

I'm paranoid about my tall windshield breaking off above 110 mph. Bike runs nice at any speed I've tried.
 
I certainly don't mean to suggest that anyone go out and run their motorcycle to top speed in an unsafe and uncontrolled manner, but I would like to hear from those who do know what their measured top speed is. It doesn't matter if the motor is stock or modified. A lot of us have added exhausts, cams, air cleaners, tuners and big bore kits to our motorcycles to get more power out of them. That says to me that we either have or will see what they can do, whether it be on a track, dyno or Area 51 type of setting.

I have seen 140's on the on the road before I ran out of nerves but she had way more left. I have the rev limit set at 6800 .
 
On the Super Glide not sure but the front end was like a feather in the wind. On the Street Glide according to my buddy's GPS 113 mph. Stock 96 with heavy breather, V&H power duals and V&H twin slash rounds. Bike was still pulling but not hard.

14 sgs stock with cfrs .120 but had to hold it there til it crept up. Was surprised how stable and could still hear the stereo.
