I am a relatively new owner of an 08 streetglide, I am loving this bike as it is my first touring bike ever. I have added a lot of cosmetics however I am stuck on what to do with the stock wheels and tires, I'm not a big fan of the stock look of these at all, the tires seem huge, any info is appreciated as I'm sure there are people out there like me. I spoke to an aftermarket guy at a show, he offered to increase my wheel size thus decreasing the tire size which all sounds like a great idea however he quoted around 2600, which is way more than I can spend. Again maybe he is correct and you have to fork over the dough for than look however I figured I would get on here and at least ask what others have done, thank you in advance.

Hello StreetGlider31s, unfortunately you are going to need to put out some cash in order to make changes to wheels and tires. I went with Hogpro's 21" vivid black titan with matching rotors and a flush axle and the set up was over $2K. I then went ahead and added the progressive lower kit to the front forks to bring the bike back to an angle I liked better.

Call Coastal Moto. They have nice wheels, excellent prices, and great service. Wheel and tire changes are not cheap, but you there are plenty of options that are at/below 2K range. As you shop, be mindful of whether the quoted price is for the wheel only, a partial package, or a full package including tire, rotors, and other install bits. For example, HD may offer to sell you a wheel for $600-800, and then tack on $200 for a new tire, a couple hundred a piece for matching rotors, and a little more for installation material.

Thanks guys, I kinda figure this was the case, so if I want to keep the same stance, what wheel size did you go to?
