So im looking to break into the street glide world and of course the dealer sales guy wants to sell me a new bike.. ok its got all the newest toys.. but how different is the 14 sgs compared to 2009 thru 2013ish sg's? I want the best bang for the buck

The '14 SGS has a lot that others years don't for example larger forks, new fairing, new touch screen radio, premium rear shocks, new saddle bag lids. I have read where other guys have traded in the 09-13 SG for a '14 SG and love the improvements to the bike.

I think spending the extra $1500-$2000 for new is worth it for the new upgrades. Of course, the SGS is a bit more...

I would jump on that rate fast. I know a guy who bought used last month at 8% !

Unless you have lots of cash on hand.... I would shop new....

2014 Standard SG w/ extended service plan is just a little less than the SGS w/o the service plan.... my SGS cost me $5 more a month and I can buy the ESP at the 2 year mark when the time comes.


Also... if you decide to buy used... stick with 2010 or newer. There was a frame change around 2009-2010.... someone help me out here.... LOL!! I'm gettin old!

Yeah my credit union would only do 4% on a bike, cars are 1.99%

I was asking. My selling dealer made it seem as if the ESP was only available for purchase at time of sale.

yeah... you can buy it later. you pay a higher premium for it but you can still purchase it. They get kickbacks for selling it up front and you get a discount on it
