All the winter mod talk going on around here got me thinking if my bike with only a couple minor additions since August purchase is done or not. Not sure.

Is any one here done with their bike? Just curious? Or will your bike be forever a work in progress?

There are some serious mods going on with some of you which is pretty cool.

You said it David "a work in progress". Seems like there are the larger mods (engine work, exhaust, electronics, dyno, etc) done at some point during ownership but there is always the next thing. Different windshield, fork fangs? Lighting options, seat, radio equipment, grips, etc are common upgrades. We have a tendacy to throw a lot of money at our scooters. Having done this on previous bikes I'm now satisfied to make a few changes mostly limited to comfort issues. Have done or intend to do lighting upgrades for issues of visibility but performance mods are limited to free flowing muffs and intake with EMC flash.
So yes, never seem to be completely done!

Low & Slow,

Blues

Boy is that a loaded question ! ! ! Some are NEVER finished and some THINK their finished until the next pretty trinket comes along or they see or hear something here on the forums they just gotta have.

As for me, I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that my wife may see this post. (I learned that from BaggerJay) ! ;) !

I'm working on a bunch of winter mods I haven't listed yet. You never know what will be invented that you're going to want some day.

For example:

The new SE120ST 120" street motor #19221-15 is about $5000. Why screw around with anything less?

New wheels with the first set of replacement tires.

......etc

WOW your a funny guy are the mods done yet really. It's a sickness you never get over, ha ha there is always something you have to change to make it better or you have to get a new one and start over ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

hulkss- What's your mileage now. I always thought you might have low miles due to weather patterns up there.

I'd say I'm pretty much finished with modifications to my '10 Street Glide (picture attached) and I've been very pleased with how it turned out. Although, as cool new accessories are released I suppose that my status of "finished" is certainly subject to change.

I can say that I am really, REALLY diggin' the new Arlen Ness by MagnaFlow Megacone and Redline Slip-ons...and even their full systems...so there is a very likely chance I'll replace my CFRs with one of the Ness options in the Spring. I'd also like to eventually replace the OEM air cleaner but I haven't really found anything that I've "gotta have" at the moment. lol

Enjoy and ride safe!!

Took the day off today to ride. Rode 2 hours south to Scrubs Cycle Custom shop to have image.jpg this stuff installed. All I can say is everyone should get this done some how. Wow!! What a sound. Put on my list speakers in bags.
But first going to have some parts powder coated on the engine the color of my bike. image.jpg yep I thought I was done

At least you have the right paint color! and I like your bars. I am short and those look like they may work for What are they?

Thanks i do like the color. The bars are Wild 1 Chubby's 12.5" The seat is a Badlander love it, it puts me back alittle more then a the stock seat. With these bars it does stretch me out just alittle when turning. But nothing that you couldnt handle. Im 5"8" and fat.

Thanks Blue!!! I think I'm going to have some engine parts powder coated the color of the bike. To break up the chrome.

I'm done!!!
Upgraded speakers, saddle bag speakers, extra amp, lighted switches, new windshield, fangs, freedom wings, soft lowers, daymaker, new grips and pegs, cut the cat out, high flow air intake, screaming eagle tuner, new seat, driver backrest, passenger backrest, luggage rack, slip on exhaust, led turn signals, new dash insert new horn cover.I think that covers everything.

Nice redrocket!!! But i don't think any of us will ever be done!!! This forum has me in the RED!! Plus the list is longer and going to cost me everything i don't have!!! Lol

Anything original left? ;)

I don't make the bikes.....I just make them better.....hahaha

Understood. Making them better is part of the fun of owning. If they came out of the factory like we wanted them we wouldn't want them very long. And the MoCo would not make so much money.

Problem is, that a few people on here make the rest of us jealous and spend more money on our bikes when we hadn't planned to. :) I am still resisting. Partly because of winter and partly cause I can't afford to do too much right now.
