Hi all, i am at this moment not in possession of a Streetglide but working hard for it to upgrade to one from my present ride! i know this may look wrong but i will tell why i am here... please remove it if inappropriate...

we do wrench on my buddy's SG to get it ready for the road. i found this forum because i was looking for a part . the dealers here don't have used parts and ebay is asking malpractious prices for SG parts that wont work on other SG bikes. i am looking for a used speedometer for parts of a 2014 or 2015 SG. i hooked it up wrong and i broke some electronics inside. Display and backlights works but no needles or warning signals. i am good with electronics but as long as i don't have something to compare i cant repair it. if anyone have one from changing out theirs for other ones please help me out. Would be great!!
thanks for reading Regards Angelo.

I don't believe the clusters are not interchangeable on the 14/15 models. ... they are married to the ecm from what I understand.... I could be wrong though.

Good luck in finding one

Yes you are correct Spazz. in the speedo electronics the VIN is written in the software and at startup checked so if you put a 2014 or 2015 speedo (but not the 2 smaller ones) in a other bike it will read 'V INERR' like the pic in the attachment.

It is not exactly married as to me that means it learns the VIN. but it is mated in the factory.. so each bike has a designated speedo (not that I cannot change it :) ). I changed this speedo from MPH to KPH for the same bike and I hooked it up for test like a 2013 or older speedo. unfortunately I made a wrong connection.. That's when I got the tech manual (too late) for the schematics and found out this is a Canbus speedo just hooked up to power and not acc or ign wires.

I went searching on this forum because I think I have the most chance of finding one used here. I am able to pay a honest figure and shipping because I feel responsible for wrecking my buds speedo despite he says it was not good anyway. I want this solved for honer!. if I have a 100% good change now It might be interesting for those importing a bike to fe Canada (or Australia or Europe)and who want to change stock speedo from MPH to KPH. this means change of faceplate and switch display to KPH.

the pic below is what I found on internet. posting pics of what I did to the speedo in a first post would be pretty cocky:p

Good luck DUTCH !

Thanks Mojo! I will get it done I know it. just need one speedo offered to proof myself :p
I have not found a classifieds section for it here. not sure what other section to ask really.

little frustrating sellers on Ebay know the gauge wont work on a other bike but still sell it as 'I could not try it on a other bike so you see is what you get' and a buyer buys a lemmon... and these land on the same ebay again to earn the money back...

Any speedo from a 14/15 can buss HD will work you just have to have the dealer program the new speedo address in the ecm with the digital tech. I could be wrong tho. I know there has been a few guys that have switched to digital gauges.

I know they cannot do very much with the scanaliser and if they could they probably just want to sell a new cluster.
I have changed many speedo's from miles to kilometers in the electronics for the display's and I got it done with this new model SG speedo too. I did not have to change the VIN because it was for the same bike but I can change it...
Maybe they can change vin code in the speedo but than they surpass the reason why they made this safety code.. think they want to stop the ease of putting lower mileage speedo's in high mileage bikes for resale value... that last is what I absolutely wont do and always keep original mileage
