I don't see any posts about the XM upgrade to the SGS. Is it worth the 399?? I want the XM, but that is steep! Anybody got other ideas? How did you guys do it? What system? Mount? Connection type (bluetooth)? Pictures?

If you really want XM why don't you just download the app and use your phone. There is no way I would spend 400 for the XM module.

The only benefit I see is keeping the clean look of the inner fairing. That being said, I have in the past had a regular XM radio mounted via a ram mount on the bars and it doesn't really mess up the look very much. Cheaper to than Harley's module. Or it was any way as I have not priced them in years.

Just my .02 worth.

There may be a reason you don't see much on XM. Thru HD it is expensive and I personally found free apps that work as a cheap substitute. When I had an XM problem in my car last year I could not get the Tech support guys in India to solve my problem.

I appreciate it guys. I was looking for the clean solution as mentioned, but I can do the phone thingy. You guys have any recommendations on the mount system?

I just put my phone in the media slot.

bryan0994- If you want MORE room in the Juke box compartment, take out the foam filler and use it as a pattern to cut some 1/8 inch adhesive backed foam. Then line the compartment with it and you'll have room for the phone and a normal billfold too!

I have been considering this, but Vinny is still too new for me to take that one just yet. About another 100 mi or so and I won't feel so bad about it.

now that's an idea! How tough was it to yank out?

Mojo, I just took my foam out and shaved it down. Works great now.

I've had the RAM mounted radio which worked great. I had the module installed when I bought my 2014 SGS. Yes, it was pricey but I like the convenience of the integrated controls and the touch screen display. I have no complaints about the reception.

I ordered the siriusxm insert from Manchester Harley online on Friday just before 3 PM and the mailman delivered it today (Monday). Kudos!

Installed it after work, activated the free trial and tested it for about an hour and a half. The integration with the existing head unit is great and I'm sure the traffic and weather features will come in handy.
