Looking for Header and Muffler recommendations for my new FLHXS. I'm partial to the V&H power dual headers but open to anything. If performance was my only concern what is the best header muffler combination.

Appreciate any and all feedback!

I de catted my header and installed Rush Racing Slip ons. Also replaced my air cleaner with a Screaming Eagle one. I like this setup because it was the most cost effective for me. After all that, I tuned my bike with the Power Vision 2 by Fuelmoto. I would recommend you call Fuelmoto for the best opinion on performance upgrades. They are wonderful people and easy to deal with. Good luck

I went with V&H Power Duals & V&H High Output slipons. In black they look awesome sound even better - a real deep throbphoto.jpg

Azsg14, well spazz is correct he has a great pipe and it sounds great. I have heard him crack that throttle more then once and it sounds great. I personally run a supertrapp 2-1 which I have run on my last 3 Baggers. It has a unique sound but is still load when you want it to be but a little more mild if needed. But the best part of this pipe is it produces serious torque which makes it the pipe for me. Hope that helps.

I would get rid of the cat while doing this upgrade and if you have time go listen to some different exhaust's go do it. I have a friend who has the Yaffee 2 into 1 and it sounds really good as long as your not right next to it. There areso many choices out there it's really hard to decide on which one.

Header replacement isn't cheap but decatting the stock pipe is a must then put what ever slip ons you want.

Lots of options here, these guys give personal insight based on experience. Ultimately read, learn and listen to make a decision. Your wallet depends on it, personally I think we all need a little bit more Cowbell!
Seriously though, every time I get a new bike I try a different system and I haven't been disappointed yet. Might do the 2 into 1 next go around.

Speaking of new bikes . . Nothing was changed on the 2015 SG/SGS except colors.
