I have a 2015 SG and I am looking to move up to some LED headlight. I have been doing
some research and found some JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2 lights. The price is right
and they look easy enough to install. Anyone out there have them?? If so how do you
like them? Did you get them off Amazon? Thanks for all the feedback . It's appreciated.

That's the headlight I have, love it. JW Speaker makes Harley daymaker. Same headlight, but your not paying for the HD name.

I have the same headlight as well and I like it a lot better than the factory dual-halogen. I purchased mine off of Amazon and, if I recall, the price was about $275 for the chrome version.

I have the E2 also and love it. It's hard to compare until you see it for yourself but it lights up the world. I think I bought mine thru Amazon also from a outfit that sells jeep parts lol.

I got the Sunpie 7" 'Daymaker' off of Amazon. It's basically a Chinese knock-off of the JW 8700 Evo 2. It works GREAT, although I haven't seen someone with the JW to compare them side by side. For less then a hundred bucks off of amazon, it was a great deal, a no-brainer vs buying the overpriced Harley equivalent.

I have been researching the Sunpie daymaker for my bike as well as other brands. It looks like you've had it for a while now, how do you like it? Any complaints? How is the light at night compared to the stock halogen?

I HAVE THE Custom dynamics headlight with the halo ring...450 is pricy.....but its good and you get what you pay for...

My vote is for the EVOII. I think I got a better price through 4wheelparts.com over Amazon. You will need the adaptor harness for any of the LED lights though. about 15 bucks on E-Bay

+1 on the JW Speaker 8700 Evolution 2. Amazon had the best price. Sold my HD DayMaker the following week.

LED Headlights

I just installed SoCal true HIDs in stock headlight and leds in auxlights. Love the greatly improved lighting. Lined up with an ultra with DayMaker and led aux lamps. I out shined his set up by 3 ft. Very pleased for bit over $200

lol.. $200 in bulb conversion for headlight and aux lamps.. HD aux lamps inflate the cost a wee bit

Rhsra- I'm happy to hear your pleased with your choice but confused as to how you arrived at the "three feet" outcome.

Lol.. 3 ft was an estimation. Both bikes lined up hids on high beam and his daymaker high my setup illuminated approx 3 ft further. Scientific? Nope .. just an observation. Lights and lamps on low.. about the same. Admit the extra distance is dim.. but more visibility ahead is what I wanted. Actually surprised both of us.

Hi Sal I recently bought and installed the Sunpie 7" Daymaker too, it works great and is bright. I had to use the HD adapter for the install but the light also came with another plug that I guess would go between the light and HD adapter plug, it says LED CANBUS DC10-16V on the plug, did your light have this and did you need it? I tried the light with and without the plug and it worked the same so I didn't use it. I was told on another forum that it was only needed it your light flickered which mine does not but I haven't tried with the motor running yet, it's only 20 degrees here so it will be a while. It would be nice if they gave you instructions.plug.JPGheadlight.JPGon-light-2.JPG

Not sure but you may need that for the 2013 and older bikes
