We all started somewhere!

I had a Red 1972 Honda 350 Scrambler too. I was eighteen. No photos, I had to keep it at a neighbor's house because my Dad was really angry when I bought it. He pretended that he didn't know I had it. I got an older buddy of mine to co-sign the loan.

My 2nd bike was also a cb350 honda, loud son of a bitch with no baffles, believe it or not i used to crush a pop can in the pipe to quiet it up a little, thinking back on it now i get a laugh out of it.

I used to compete in enduros on a Harley Baja. Got a bunch of trophies stashed somewhere.
Kicked ass on the Hodakas.

For me the first was a 1972 Honda CL70. I was 13 or 14 at the time. I was supposed to ride it only off road as I was to young for a license but naturally I didn't listen. Also the footpeg bar bolted directly into the bottom of the engine case (aluminum). I remember taking it off a jump made of railroad ties and heaped up dirt. Got quite a bit of air and was standing on the pegs when I landed. That footpeg bar instantly ripped out of the engine case and my crotch came down on the gas tank hard. Real hard. Caved it in. Didn't do much good for me either. This picture isn't my actual bike but looks identical (less damaged tank and footpeg bar).

Old man bought me a 72 fx when I was 15...... Barely ran, had to kick it 20 times, open primo belt tore off more than it's share of pants legs. I traded it for a Kawasaki LTD 440. Bought the FX back ten years later after I'd gotten out of the Navy. Sold it a few years later after a divorce. Got married again, then divorced again...... Lol. Bought a few different models and years of Harley's (road king police, dyna, springer fxsts), even built a bobber from an eBay kit. Had a yamaha venture touring bike and a dyna superglide at the same time. Girls likes the dyna better, so the venture took a walk...... Traded the dyna for a Softail, and hated it with a passion. Bought my new SG early 2013...... Best bike I've ever owned, finally found a keeper. I'm 41 now

I got bit by the bug early in life but didn't start riding till I was assigned out here in California. I was eight or so when I took my first ride by myself on a 50 cc bike. Down the road and wrecked. Got it back up. Back the other way and wrecked. Years later I wanted a bike but my ex brother in law talked me out of it because his best friend was killed on one. When I was a drill instructor the base offered a MSF course but you had to provide your own bike. No bike no course. Got to Travis and they offered the same course and a 250 cc Honda shadow. Sign me up. Got the paperwork and the license and went shopping. The local HD dealership would not work with me so I went to yamaha. Bought a 2009 V-Star 950 tourer.

That wasn't enough for me and after 6500 miles traded her in for a 2010 Stratoliner Deluxe.

The final straw was the fact I couldn't find the right bars for it. Five gears. And a four and half gallon tank. I do miss the torque on that bad boy. But very happy with my SGS. Took her out on the long road to Sacramento yesterday. Both ways. All along the river. Berny was the right choice.

In June 1965 my parents gave me an Allstate Cruisaire for my 12th birthday. After making my maiden voyage around the block I rode up our house feeling like Marlon Brando. Along with my brother there were 4 of the neighborhood boys standing there drooling over my "ride". Thinking the hand shifter was in neutral I released the clutch lever and promptly raced up into the garage putting 2 big dents in the front of my scooter and one in each of my parents cars. Needless to say, it wasn't an ego building experience.

1982 Kawasaki KE175 2 stroker. My two brothers, sister in law, and a few friends got their motorcycle license on this bike. Im 51yo now. The list of other bikes I had is pretty long. Let me see if I can remember them. Honda 650 Nighthawk, 3 Kawasaki ninja 600's, Honda VLX 600, Honda VTX 1300C, Yamaha R1, Harley Softail Standard, Harley Evo Softail Custom, Harley Dyna Lowrider, Harley Fatboy, Harley Crossbones, Harley Dyna Wideglide, and last but not least Harley Street Glide. This is in a 31 year span. Wow, that's a lot of bikes.

I started off on a 1990 Honda Hawk GT when I was around 31 years old. Rode that for about a year till someone back over it. I then got a 2003 Suzuki GSX 600 rode that for a couple of years then I got my first Harley. It was a 2007 sportster 1200C, rode that till about a month ago when I bought my SGS.

I started out on a honda z50 at the age of 5 and then went to a yz80 then i rode my dads pe 175 and a cr 250 then i got my first harley a 1977xlch kick only sporty...then a 1973 sporty then a 02 sporty and finnaly i have a 07 SG.Cheers!!
