Warped Rotor - How bad is bad enough?

I have a 2019 CVO. I had an emergency braking situation last year while I was riding in the rain. During heavy braking I hit a puddle of water an quickly quenched the rotors. Since that time, I've had a considerable shake during any level of braking. I brought the bike in to be looked at and tested. One rotor was 4 thousands out and the other was 6. According to Harley, it has to be 8 thousands out before they will warranty.
My question, will this considerable shake interfere with the ABS if it's not corrected even if it doesn't meet Harleys standards to replace? If the shake during braking that I have is 4 and 6 thousands , I can't imagine how bad 8 is!
My dealer quoted me a grand to fix this on my dime. Should I bite the bullet, buy some nice looking after-market and take care of it myself or just buck up and deal with it until it meets replacement standards?

Thanks in advance!

With warped rotors you will not get an even brake application. Braking distance will be increased. You will feel the pulsation in the brake levers. It is your call as to what is acceptable. You will develop uneven brake pad wear as high spot on rotors will contact brake pads at different positions. You will notice it when abs system is on as it is activated by wheel speed differences. Just providing info. If you have a floor jack and mechanical ability. Save the stealership labor cost and invest the money on new rotors and brake pads. I would use semi sintered brake pads this way the brake pads are not causing gauling on rotors.

I was thinking the same. Appreciate your input.
