Anyone ever seriously consider a Goldwing before buying the Street Glide?

My buddy just picked up a Goldwing F6B and got me thinking. Smooth, powerful, great for long hauls, no doubt. But after doing some reading on the Goldwing F6B vs Street Glide, the V-twin soul just can't be matched. Anyone here ridden both? What kept you on the Glide?

Ha yeah that is exactly it, feels more like riding a couch than a motorcycle. Nothing beats the raw feel of the Glide

That is exactly it. The Goldwing is technically a masterpiece and incredibly smooth, but for a lot of us, it almost feels too much like an appliance. The Street Glide has that mechanical character and feedback that makes you feel connected to the machine. It’s hard to give up that V-twin personality once you’re used to it.
