I have a 2014 FLHXS withe 103" motor. I plan on putting on new heads and having them done along with the TW 777 Cams right now. and of course a new air cleaner and tune. Trying to decide what exhaust system to put on it now that way it will be ready for when the other upgrades come. I want good sound. Had Vance and Hines true dual headers and Reinhart Racing Slip on mufflers on my Road King before, but wanted to get some opinions from the group, especially those that have true Duals. I want the system to be black as well if that matters.

I like the sound of the CFR's myself, I havent gotten a pair just yet, but will soon.. youtube and you'll hear the differences.

I like my Rush Big Louie. The best thing to to hang around a shop and listen to bikes. YouTube is great, but listening to them is person is better.

Our bikes come with the X-pipe (2-1-2) headers from the factory. Are you planning on going with True Duals (2-2)? I am wondering what the difference will be in sound and performance.

I have the VH dresser duals and 4" Rinehart that were just installed and good mix of low end grumble and when I get on the throttle OH my.

I am thinking I want to go true duals but have entertained the choice of a 2-1. Leaning mlre towards duals though. On my road king I had the Vance and Hines true duals wotj Rinehart slip ons and I liked that setup a lot, but getting other opinions. The CFR's sound good from what I have

More so trying to see what headers guys are using on their setups.

I'm still running stock, but when the funds come available I'm going with jackpots headers.

I'm going 2-1 for performance over looks.... 2-1 is by far the better performer over 2-2 or 2-1-2... dynos prove it. If I stayed duals... the power dual by V/H is awesome and Kuryakyn makes an X pipe for around $400-$500 that I just saw two weeks ago...

Crusher Duals with same X pipe configuration under the heat shield in the pic....

Personal preference... brand... Performance and price all play a part in one's choice

Is the X pipe configuration better than a 2-2?

2-1-2 and 2-1 pipes have a slight performance edge over true duals (2-2) unless you are building for high rpm performance only where true duals work best.

Thanks for all the input guys! Anyone have the MGS true Duals? I've he's good things but dont know anyone that has them

2-1 is by far best for performance. I have tried several different setups did bub true duals on a bagger and when I went to the 2-1 my torque went up 18' lbs of torque and horse power went up like 10 hp. So my advise is to go 2-1. I have a supertrapp 2-1 on this bike as well as my others and it does well with power and sound

Is there a 2-1 that has a similar sound to the CFR slip ons?

No input on MGS however, I'm running Rush Ceramic Coated Trues on my scoot and am happy and cool (leg wise).
