I'm on a road trip and will hit my 1,000 miles on the road. If I wait until I get home, I'll be around 1,600 - 1,800 miles.

Should I get it done on the road or wait to get home?

If so, does anyone remember how long this service takes (I thought 3 hours, but don't really remember).

Well, I made it to 1k yesterday and have it in for service today (they got me in because I was going on a long trip). They said I could wait, but with the trip, it'd be better to change fluids and check everything before leaving.

Bluegrass HD has been a pleasure to deal with - I would recommend them to anyone traveling or living local to Louisville KY. Great personal service.

I don't know if everyone knows this but if ur traveling and go to a nearest Harley service Dept and let them know that ur on a trip, they will all try to accommodate basic service for ur bike. I like traveling cross country and every time I need oil change or mileage service I call any closest Harley day before and let them know I'm on a trip and they usually ask me to stop by fist thing in the morning to get me on the road quick. Even if u stop by without calling I've been taken care of that day. Harley service dept tries to help out travelers as much as they can.

Personally I have not dealt with blue grass Harley in louisville but I like Harley of louisville another dealer which is close to UOfL.

Ironically, we called Harley of Louisville first - they couldn't get us in for a few days (regardless of being from out of town). They missed out on a nice trade in.
