You have to to get the Focals to sit just right and the magnet barely clears the backside of the pos when assembled

I didn't have to trim anything to make clearance for the magnet, only trimming was to clearance the mounting ring part of the basket. The new 2017 pods are molded black and might have additional clearance.
Some people have questioned if polyfil is needed for the pods. I chose to use it without for testing, then again with. It did in fact make a noticeable improvement in mid bass response.
Installed OEM Harley color matched lower fairings so I could install a second pair of Focal 165KRC speakers. Speaker pods are Hogworkz. Harley pods may be far better quality, but I couldn't fathom paying $100 more for gloss black. Hogworkz pods were recommended to me by someone who installs them daily.

Ridden many miles after replacing the Rockford Power series speakers with Focal 165KRC coaxial, there is simply no comparison. The Rockford 6.5" had weak mid bass response and the tweeters were too harsh. The Focal 6.5" have a good mid bass kick to them, awesome mid range, and perfect tweeter response when the crossover is set to -3 dB. After adding two more Focal in the lower fairings (wired in parallel with the upper fairing speakers), I can cruise down the highway at 80 mph, listening to music like never before. The Focal's bring the Rockford Power series amp to life. My friend, with very loud exhaust, can hear me easily at highway speeds....and he always rides in front of me.
Can't wait to install something in the bags!
So, after everything I have experienced, you can either buy a pre-assembled package from Soundz, or build your own. My recommendation, do not buy the Rockford kit like I did, only purchase the Power series amp and heatsink amp rack with wiring kit. Spare that $299 for speakers and spend that elsewhere on Focal.
