i am currently in the market for extended bags for my 2014 SG, i have VH straight shot pipes so i must stick with the 4in extended bags. my question is, what is the difference between buying he EXT bags from the HD store and buying from an after market store. I have looked at a few options and they all come out around $2500. The money is not really an issue i just want to get everything done correctly the first time.

I've been looking at bags as well. I think (and could be wrong) that the HD bags are not a full extension, by that I mean they are CVO style bags where the bag bottom slopes down as it goes from front to rear. Aftermarket bags are a full extension from front to rear, at least the ones I've looked at. I'm partial to the True Kustom bags and rear fender.
If you are looking for a cheaper route and only for the look of an extended bag, cyclesmith makes a bag extender. Personally, I would look at getting extended bags, but this is an option if you're only looking for the extended bag look...
