Hi everyone,

So I have been researching this and found lots of info on older street glides/touring models, but havent heard much word on the '14's. I have purchased the '09-13 tour pak and all of the 2014 mounting hardware needed. Did I screw myself by ordering the '14 mounting rack? Should I have purchased the '13 rack? I have heard that I may have to raise the tour pak up about 3/8 of an inch. Who out there has done this and can you give me any pointers?

This is what I know, I have a 2009 rack and it will not fit the 2014's so you did buy the correct rack and yes you have to raise it about 1/2 inch so that the lids on your saddlebags don't hit the bottom of your tour pack!

Well thanks for replying atleast! I shall know my answer on Tuesday or Wednesday. I will post my results on here for the next guy....

i bought a 09 tour pack off graigs list in December for my 14 SG. had to buy the mounting rack that fit my 14. only to find that the saddle baglids it on the bottom of the pack when I opened it. I took a plastic cutting board from the kitchen and made a spacer out of it. worked out great.
after contacting a few painters , what it would cost was more than buying a new tourpack from Harley.
I put the 09 back on craigslist , got my money back and ordered the chopped tour pack.

I looked into that route, even buying an aftermarket rack off eBay but by the time I had it painted, bought and installed all the hardware, etc., I could have bought a new one from Manchester Harley thats direct from HD that needs nothing and is color-matched to boot. Sometimes buying OEM is the best way to go...though my wife doesn't always agree....;)
