Recently when turning the ignition to power the bike or to the Accessory position there is nothing. I have a new battery in FOB and yes its in correctly. Normally I have to turn the switch off and then on again, (even a few times before things start lighting up and can hear the fuel pump engage. I brought to dealership and NO codes (except radio issues, blown speaker and Amp not working) they looked it over and said they checked the switches alignment?? All good. Has anyone else had this issue or is there something they/me should be looking at?

thanks, going on a road trip soon and not confident lol

Have you resolved the issues with Radio,Amp and Speaker? If these issues are still present the system may not power up. I would expect to see some communication error codes. Radio and amp are low on priority.

they cleared codes for the "infotainment" system...and are installing new speakers, once that is done they are gonna check the amp to see if its working properly, I guess there were some bent pins, (how the hell that happens inside a faring unless it never worked from the get go. would the radio codes actually cuse a fault enough to not have the remainder fire up so I can start the beast? I hate electrical

When you turn the ignition switch to either the Accessory position or Ignition position here is what happens. Depending on with position ( if in the ignition position there is a 200 ohm resistor, if in Accessory position there is an 800 ohm resistor) this causes a certain amount of voltage to be dropped and the output level of that signal goes to your BCM ( body control module) then there is your run/stop switch, this also goes to the BCM before any output. All the modules on the ECM,ECU,BCM all talk to one another through a signal called Can Low and Can High. Depending on the state of this signal will determine how the bike acts. These diagnostic codes start with a “U” may cause the system not to power up so you can’t start the bike. The “U “ diagnostic codes are the communication lines between the modules and just about everything on the bike.

Did you ever get this resolved? I've ran into the same problem. Once when I used the kill switch and more recently, not using the kill switch. Everything lit up and cycled through, but when I hit the start button, nothing. Finally after turning it off and on a few times, it fired off. Hate electrical gremlins!
