Lots of good info and the answers to your questions here.

12's fit with nothing more than 8" plug and play wire extensions from NAMZ.... clutch and brake lines are fine after you cut the zip ties under the triple. I have done 14's with just wire extensions, but its tight and need to reroute brake and clutch lines at the neck to get enuf slack to make it work, but its on the hairy edge.

I put 16's on TomA's 14SGS ( 14-17 are all the same ) I can't remember EVERYTHING he bought.. but close to $800 for new hyd and brakelines... I think. He didn't go cheap. New clutch line, new upper, mid and lower brake lines. Plus 12" extensions weren't long enuf IIRC... we went 15" on the NAMZ extensions.

Yes if you go 16 plan on spending some money on new lines extensions and hardware. Went with stainless braided or you can go black for different look. The bars are the cheap investment I found out after doing some research and buying the stuff for install. Spazz is right it was about 800 for new lines and switch covers and miscellaneous things we needed for the install. Pretty sure there is an install thread on here we did after the install it may show up under Torch industries 16 inch bars. I would go the factory 47 (bars) route if I was doing this again. Got my stuff through Battle born Harley but you may find it cheaper somewhere else. Any dealership should print a build sheet so you could use that to find the parts.

Big thanks again to Spazz for helping me do this not sure I would have gotten it done by myself.

I was told if I went 12" there was enough slack from factory that lines didn't need changing. But I wanted to retain my stock mirrors so I went with 14" Jaffe Monkeybars. Brake and clutch cables and a couple lines had to be completely replaced. And wire extensions. Hope that helps
