I just bought the Paul Yaffe 12" Monkey bars for my 2016 Street Glide and was wondering about the wire extensions.
I read that I do need them and don't need them.
The Baggernation website says I do need them for 2014 and up but i'm not sure they updated the website since 2015.
I read that they have made the wires longer in 2016 to accommodate handlebar upgrades to 12".
Has anyone done this exact setup and do I need wire extensions?

Thanks for all your help

I put Yaffe 12's on my '14. I went ahead and put braided brake and clutch on while I was there. I did need the wire extension. I heard the same you did for the '16's. Spazz would be a good person to ask on this.

You will need the extensions but everything else can be rerouted or taken out of tie points and works fine

You will need the wire extensions. No need to extend break or clutch cables however.

Yeah.. as stated... the only thing needed is wire extensions... 8" is what I recommend from NAMZ ( they are all the same price for the most part )

and free up slack in the hyd lines by removing the tiedowns and possible rerouting may be necessary, but you don't have to break the hyd lines to do it... done several. IT's about a minimum of 3-4 hours

I put the 12" Paul yaffe's on my 2015 street glide and I didn't need any extensions.

Well I installed the Bars and did not need any extensions, just barely. As long as you undo the wiring harness in the fairing you have just enough room. I do have a word of advice though, I installed the bars the night before I was leaving for Biketoberfest (just got Back) anyway and when I took off the brake and clutch handles and let them hang upside down the fluid in my brake reservoir seeped into the O-ring and when I got everything back together it was leaking and it looked like air bubbles where coming out when I squeezed the brake. I stopped at the dealer because I didn't want to mess with it and he told me nothing was wrong just fluid around the O-ring. The tech took it apart and cleaned it and everything was ok. By the way Just got back from about 450 miles over 3 days and I love the bars and I'm only 5'6". So go big if you want Apes and I can still use my existing mirrors so its a clean look.
