Hello, I Plan on installing an attachable king tour pak. I’m going to eventually put the speaker pods on the tour pak . I looked at my shop manual for the wiring diagram. I looked under my seat for the 4 wire connector (162A) but I can’t find it. Any help with what I will need to put the rear speakers on, would be much appreciated. Thank you

You need to purchase the rear speaker harness for one... then you need to have it flashed from Harley to enable rear speaker output. Pods will need to be purchased... then speakers, hardware and grilles.

I would seriously look into an aftermarket system before you dump money into Substandard Harley Audio trash.

I'm a dealer for Soundz on the west coast and have thrown away numerous Boom I and boom II systems...amps included... I cant see throwing money away... do your research.

You can do your 4 speaker system in stages... do the front complete in one shot... 2 speakers and an amp with correct flash on head unit... then add the TP speakers when you can... it can all be pre-wired from the start, so no ripping it all back apart later.. just add the TP speakers and pigtails to plug in.

If you are on a tight budget, you can still do it RIGHT all at once. I have done (4) SR-65's ... in the faring and TP .. new grilles are included. SS2.150 amp with all wiring for under $850 ( install not included) a flash is required for this system.

Line levelers work, but not as good as a flash directly for the head unit.... fyi

Here is a great example of a 2 speaker system with the SS2.150 amp and SR-65's I did for a customer.

Plug 162A is a 4 wire connector with light blue wires in the fairing. Remove your fairing and look at the main harness coming off the radio. There will be a 4 wire plug right there. light blue/orange, light blue /grey, light blue, and light blue black. that is plug 162A. The dealer will need to flash the radio to enable the rear speakers. I am adding lower fairings with stage 1 speakers and I will be using the same plug 162A to add mine. Dealer said he would flash my radio for free.
