Hi all looking at getting a Street Glide special ( vivid black) it would be my first cruiser type bike and Harley also, looking for some good advice as to what would be good options to make straight of the bat. Like as far as stage up grades are concerned ( 117) and buying options stuff like that my bike ATM is the Triumph scrambler 2014 model still love it,but looking for a nice cool cruiser to enjoy touring with the wife :D cheers any advice much appreciated also any bargaining tips with the dealers would be great stuff thanks again stay safe

I would do only a Stage 2 with slipon mufflers, air cleaner, street tuner, and the SE8-447 cam. Any more (in my opinion) and you'll be looking at reduced engine life.

This will run great.

1. Tour pack
2. Touring seat (consider having it modified for even more comfort)
3. Tour pack speakers for wife (consider adding HD bass ports too)
4. Amp and upgraded speakers
5. Rider backrest
6. What Hulkss said (although the urge to get more power is hard to resist)
7. Do your research on the 117 kit (some have lost engines due to sumping issues)
8. See link below for cheaper audio option (when touring) which sounds better than an amplified system with upgraded speakers

What Hulkss and Ngot8r said, and I would strongly recommend the touring seat upgrade first thing, that stock passenger pad may have your wife screaming louder than your audio and exhaust upgrades after a cruise. Sit on it and see for your self...lol
