I have a 2015 SGS with the 6.5 boombox.
Since last week the LHS toggle switch has been acting up.
pressing it is supposed to switch between media - FM, AM, LW and media(flash drive).

Left and right advances or backs the track you're listening to.

Now the left and right movement ALSO switches between media and well pressing it in.

Any ideas??

Anyone had the same??

Regards

It almost sounds like the switch is malfunctioning. I would take it to the dealer and have them check it out being so new.

There have been plenty of switch malfunctions with Rushmore. It's dealer / warranty time!

Thanks guys.

I have to change my dealership.
Went in this morning and turns out to be a setting in the menu.
Go into setting and there is one for PRESETS/SEEK.
It was on PRESETS, and they changed it to SEEK.
When I asked them why it had changed their reply was "oh someone must have been playing with it".

Doesn't inspire you with confidence does it?

Did you update the software recently?

Often that can cause that particular setting to change - it's happened to me before...!

90% of the H-D technicians (experts) really don't know any more about these systems than the rest of us. They have to research on Google or call one of the factory AUDIO SYSTEM reps in Milwaukee in order to try and diagnose infotainment issues. Harley's product development is quickly outgrowing their technician training, & consumers get ska-rood. MMI does very little in the way of audio system component training ...for ANY brand!

Having said that, a lot of issues can be diagnosed by reading the audio system (separate) owners manual, which the techs DON'T DO. Sometimes you have to read the particular section of the manual a couple times to really get it.

The Dealer reverted mine on a "k" service and it caused lockups. Looked at the firmware version after a reset and I couldn't believe it. They were clueless when I called them about it. All I know is they had the digital tech hooked up to it to check for any codes as a routine check.
