8700 EVO II LED plug trouble

Ok so I'm installing the JW Speakers 8700 evolution II LED and I'm having a hard time getting the plug to go in all the way and seating.
I have the Harley conversion wire harness. PT# 69200897. And that went into the harness OK but the light plug wants to stop about 3/16 - 1/4 from seating.
Not sure how much "stank" to put on that thing. I know a lot of you guys are running this light and was wondering if anyone else remembers having difficulty plugging it in.

Dude don't get crazy with it lol. I think mine has a little gap also and so far it hasn't fallen off. Seems pretty tight so give it a little push and let her go.

Thanks Tom, got it. Sometimes ( like all the time ) I get a little anal about stuff. Not quite seated but I've got a good connection.

Did you have to replace stock mounting ring? How do you like the light?

Redneck what year bike do you have ????? I can't say if you need a new ring but on the 14's and above you don't I know some of the older bike's and not sure which years needed a new bigger or deeper ring.
