aftermarket amp pop noise boom audio

anyone with the boom audio system with a aftermarket amp that makes that annoying pop noise before the radio comes on all the way. there is a way to fix it. I just installed a hella timed delay on relay. very simple to install and the relay is adjustable for the amount of delay before it turns on. no more pop noise. hella relay# 5he996, or 996152057 they cost anywhere from $64- $75 depending on where you get it. I hope this helps some of you out
