Aftermarket Seat, Looking For One

I have a 2008 SG with a stock seat.
What I'm looking for is a deeper seat. On my Vrod I had the Sundowner and loved it. For the SG I don't like it so much, the look that is. The passenger pad is just to tall. I like th elook of the stock passenger section as it runs smooth with the lines of the bike.
What would be a good seat that is deep yet the back section still runs a bit more with the lines of the bike?
I've looked at universal seat, I think that was the site. But the solo seats are ideal. I feel I may need to have two seats. One solo and one two up when I have my girl with me.

I have the Corbin Gunfighter on my '10 Street Glide and absolutely love it although I'm not sure how comfortable it would be for your passenger. It certainly is a "deeper" seat and what I liked most about it is how it does follow the fender line in the back.

Well that may actually be what I am looking for. Hmmmmm

Good deal!! I'd recommend checking out Corbin's website, I believe they have measurements for the seating surface for the passenger plus you can see what options they offer for it. I personally went all out getting both the optional removable back rest as well as heat. While I hardly ever use the back rest because it provides pretty good lower back support as well, I cannot tell you how many times the heat has saved me on a cool day of riding.

Good luck with your search!!

Lindsey :0)

btw...it's important to note that should you go this route, expect about a 500-700 mile break-in period. It'll be pretty firm at first but as it starts to break-in and form with your body it will eventually be the most comfortable seat you'll ever ride with (my opinion, of course).

I have the original thoughts as the OP but I need a seat to use when the wife rides occasionally. I'm thinking about 2 piece so that she can have the extra padding and I don't have to live with it when she's not on

Designflaw- I had the same problem just 2 weeks ago. I found a new take off Ultra seat cheap and purchased it for when the wife rides.

My concern with that is I will learn to like this seat for me and then I'm stuck with a big fat cushion

Designflaw-
Your correct. Yes- it will be a lot more comfortable and yes it is butt ugly on a Street Glide.
However, when we're two up and she has her arms around me - I could care less!

Just installed the stock Ultra seat on mine and yes to me it is different, but the sounds of silence in the back is sweet music to my ears but she also thinks it adds character to the bike.

It definitely adds character . . . . . hers !

I bought a Ultra seat off ebay for $125 to my door and it's ugly as sin but comfortable, I put the stock seat on anytime I ride solo.

Looking for a inexpensive seat to help my passenger also. So the ultra seat will fit right on then? I have a 2015
