Not that it matters much ...

Just curious , does anyone's ambient air temp read correctly?

Mine reads 9-10 deg more than it should ...

CWNY, Keep in mind the sensor position, it's down by the engine so your bound to get a certain amount of discrepancy. It will give you a reading that's pretty close but almost never dead on. I had the same question after I bought mine as well and asked the dealer about it. This was the answer I got.

Thanks for the response .. Im probably going to replace air temp with oil temp anyway ...

Mine on the '17 M8 seems to be more accurate than the one on my '14 although I hate that they changed the oil pressure lbs. reading now to "OK" (as opposed to what?)! :mad:
 
When my air temp gauge reads 40 I put on chaps and an extra layer, when It reads 60, no chaps take off one layer, 70, T-shirt and leather coat, 80, just T-shirt.
