For now, you have to change the URL when you download from a 0 to a 1 to get the download. Their download graphic icon link isn't updated yet.

I just got my radio flashed today - gee, 1 day too early. I would have liked to try this one.

You have 4.3 or 6.5? For me with 4.3, updates have not been too bad. Seems 6.5 people have tons of problems.

Yea, me too. With every update I notice my boot-up time gets longer and longer....heck I'm on the road before my system evens boots since the last update.

Those with a CUSTOM FLASH for aftermarket audio.... be advised.... YOU COULD LOSE YOUR FLASH. IT's happened for a few with at least one previous flash.

I assume the dealer will charge to redo it even though it is Harley's fault?

That will be up to your dealer.... but... safe to say yes... if not.... you save some money. The headache is not worth it in my eyes. I fear the worst and I have a VERY GOOD relationship with my HD here in Reno... I usually hang out with all the techs while they work. I still don't want to risk losing my flash over an update that I don't necessarily need since I have no issues.

Im waiting for my J&M to be delivered, so I haven't been flashed yet...curious if I should try this SW upgrade or not...kinda scared from all read about stuff messing up after updates with the 6.5...

Talk to John at J&M.... he may be able to steer you in the right direction.

I think the dealers can revert back to an older flash... if need be... but you need to be sure of this before proceeding.

Thanks for the tip on changing the download link- the icon shows the .1 update, but it still downloaded the .0 version on my first attempt- I have the new .1 downloading now.

If anybody tries this new software update with a custom flash report back please. I might be the one to try it and let you all know, but I dunno yet.

Did you manually change the .0 to a .1? If not, you will get the .0 version.

I installed the new update this morning (after installing the .0 last night). Today, I had Harley flash my radio with the new directions from Arc, and I removed the magic box.
While I didn't notice much functional change with the new software update (besides the startup process being a tad quicker) I did notice that the sound is much cleaner with the right flash and without the magic box.
Sorry, can't comment on whether the software update dumps an existing flash because today's was the first flash.

After doing all that I would do a pre-cal reset. It sucks cause you lose all your settings but at least you know there all reset for the flash and the update.

I did the update from 1.19.0 to 1.19.1 and didn't lose my .bin.

Like any software update. I'll wait .. Seems like software is one of the few products that is offered for sale without actually claiming to work. Microsoft really perfected the " just release it and let them fix it " business model
