That's the system I have. It sounds great sitting still and sounds about as good as anything else I've tried at 70MPH. I've test rode J&M and HD Boom. My opinion on HD audio is that if you want a good sounding system, dump the crappy head unit. Nothing that uses speaker level outputs is going knock your socks off.

Plenty of people say the HD head unit is good enough, but if I'm going to spend a couple grand on audio, I want better than good enough.

I have factory 6.5GT head unit flashed... 600 watt amp and 4 high end speakers... I have no complaints after 2 blocks away...lol

But yeah... aftermarket HU would make it a little better I'm sure

I've been playing around with Hogg tunes speakers and amp system since 2012. I've put better amps to speakers and a Sony HU. What I've come to realize is how each person wants their system to sound is very different and at speed even more different! Before I fork out that type of cash I'll go by an actual audio guy and ask for advice on voltage / amp.

I only have 2 speakers but I have an RF 300 watt amp and Infinity Kappa 62.11i Speakers. I had J&M but like this much better. With the HU like others have said it's not perfect but I can hear it on the highway at high speeds no problem.

Stock grills but with speakers mounted inside pods. Tried with speakers inside and out didn't notice a difference in sound but if they are mounted outside I didn't have any grill but the surround rubbed. There is a gap between pods and fairing when mounted inside so I used foam to take up that gap.

finally ordered a st of 165 ps focal , RF 4 channel amp & bracket for the amp off amazon cant wait to try it

+4 or 5...What Spazz said. I did a lot of research as well and then talked to Pete at Soundz Custom. I ended up with level 5 with 4 speaker system. Outstanding.
