Just bought my 2014 SG a couple weeks ago. My first Harley. Have ridden Honda since I was young. I still have my 03 VTX and have no intentions of parting with it...yet. I prefer to do all of my own work and have found that forums like this are an invaluable resource to me. I don't know much about my new bike yet...but am confident that over time, with all of your help, I will be able to handle all that comes my way.
I was directed here by Kartracer-10 who joined here earlier this year. He and I met on the vtxcafe (A forum just like this.) and have actually become great friends on and off-line as he lives about 30 minutes from me. I'd like to blame him for me purchasing this new bike. He showed up here a couple months ago on the Street Glide he bought . I knew right then that's what I wanted too. My brother is to blame as well. 05 Heritage and a 2014 Ultra Classic. I've worked on the Heritage and rode it quite a few times. Really made me dislike my metric. My X is an awesome bike...but just always have felt it was lacking. Always been impressed with the quality of an HD. Feels good to finally be an owner.
Looking forward to getting to know my bike more...and getting to know some of you in the process.
