Antenna "Y"

Had a HD hidden antenna installed on my ride when I put the tour pak on. Service says it's like the 4th version HD has had and is suppose to be their best so far. That being said, I definitely lost reception. If I put my hand by the radio while riding it gets better quick. Antenna Concepts sells a "Y" connector to use the factory whip and their hidden antenna together. Anyone know where I can get a "Y" that will work with the HD hidden antenna and the factory whip cable? Service dept. says HD doesn't have one. I may install a whip on the tour pak also. Somehow adapt it to the factory SG antenna cable that exists behind the saddle bag.

Gosh Buckshot85- I haven't noticed any decrease in reception with mine. That being said I don't have an answer for you on the Y.

I have found a couple different ones and ordered one to try. Never had my fairing off yet so I guess when it comes in we will give it a shot. Any tricks to pulling the outer off to get at the wiring?

The outer fairing is a piece of cake to remove:
3 screws holding the windshield and 2 on each side of the inner fairing.
Note the screws and placement for inner fairing are different sizes, make note.
Also the headlight comes off with the fairing and there are 2 bulbs which each have release clips you need to remove once the fairing is loose.

Antenna "Y"

I had the same loss of reception after installing the HD hidden antenna.
I installed as the direction said but went back an moved the main body of the antenna the piece with the red power LED from under the fairing vent to on top of the head unit (stereo) and that seemed to help with reception some.
